It's easy to color correct images for newspaper ads. Any type of color that needs to be corrected for a newspaper ad can be easily changed with Adobe Photoshop. The quickest way to alter the image is by carefully adjusting the saturation level of your chosen color. The light and hue are also affected, which gives you more control over the end result. Although the art director at the newspaper will also provide input into the final look of your ad, it's always a good idea to provide as much detail as possible before submitting your image to the paper. Doing so leads to the ad looking exactly the way you want.
Instructions
1. Open Photoshop. Open the file you wish to use. Chose "Image." Click "Adjustments." Select the option for contrast and brightness. Move the sliders left and right. This makes your image appear neutral. Press "OK" after you adjust the sliders.
2. Click "Image menu." Choose "Adjustments." Double-click "Color Balance." Add yellow to the picture if your highlights are blue. Select "OK."
3. Choose the camera in the menu box. You are now able to make a small snapshot of your image. This also gives you the opportunity to switch back and forth from your original picture and your edited version. Save the image.
