Write Magnetic Cards

The refrigerator is a great place for magnetic invitations to be seen.

Whether it's a birthday party, wedding or business advertising, nothing gets the word out faster than invitations and fliers. But paper invitations and fliers can be easily lost or destroyed by pets or young children. When this happens, it's easy for recipients to completely forget about the information being communicated. Ensure your guests and recipients keep your event as a top priority by creating magnetic save-the-date cards. While many companies offer standard wording for these, it is just as easy to write your own and upload a customized card for production.

Instructions

1. Determine what the first line of the card will say. For a birthday party, it might say "Look Who's Turning 40!" For a wedding or anniversary save-the-date card, it might simply be the couple's names. A birth announcement might start with "We Welcome (the baby's name)" or "It's A Boy!" If you are creating a business magnet, list the full business name. If you have a logo, this is a great place for it.

2. Create a fun message that establishes the event's theme.

Some wedding phrases could be, "A love for all seasons", "Faith, hope and love but the greatest of these is love", or "It's no surprise that we're in love and we're throwing a huge party to celebrate!"

Some popular poems for a baby shower card from the website Little Angel Announcements include, "Tiny Toes, cherished giggles...toothless smiles, lots of wiggles" or "Join us to celebrate the upcoming arrival of.." If you are sending out birth announcements be sure to include the baby's name, birth weight, date and time of birth and parents' names.

For a business advertisement, mention products or services that your company offers.

3. Specify the date and, if already planned, the time and place of the event for the last line of the card. Include the appropriate contact name for the event, and include their phone number and email address. For a business magnet, place the name and contact information of a direct agent for customers.
