Install The Correction Tape On The Brother Sx4000 Typewriter

Correction tape is used to fix typing mistakes.

Replacing the correction tape on your Brother SX-4000 electronic typewriter is important if you want to be able to correct typing mistakes. Correction tape is easy to install and it should not take much time. Purchasing the correct tape for your typewriter prevents mechanical difficulties later on. After installation, you can type new documents without worrying about not being able to correct mistakes.

Instructions

1. Open the typewriter's top cover. Remove the ribbon cassette by lifting it out. Lift up the feeder spool and the take-up spool to remove any remaining ribbon or correction tape.

2. Turn the sticky side so it faces the typing paper. Guide the correction tape through the left guide first. The tape should be placed behind the ribbon guide and out through the right guide.

3. Push the feeder spool (left-hand side) into place, then push the take-up spool (right-hand side) into place.

4. Wind the correction tape around the take-up spool a few times by turning the spool counterclockwise.

5. Replace the ribbon tape cassette. Close the typewriter cover and press [Code]+[Reset](Q) to return the carrier to the starting position.
