The executive summary in any business plan gives an overview of the business you want to start. When presenting information on a proposed daycare center, express your love of children and include all pertinent facts to create an effective executive summary.
Instructions
1. Write the executive summary to speak to a financial business audience and bankers. Use terminology they will thoroughly understand, which means you must explain language used only in the daycare industry.
2. Keep all of your business information completely factual when writing the executive summary. Discuss your certification as a day care owner. Explain safety measures you plan to put into place. Show why you feel the daycare center is a good fit for the chosen area.
3. Explain the demographics of the area and the estimated number of children in the neighborhood. Illustrate what makes your daycare business different from all of the others. For example, if you want to cater to needs of lower income families, express your interest in government operating capital grants to aid lower income families.
4. Show that you have a good business head on your shoulders by bringing up factual data. Include information about your rates, the number of children you can serve and how many staff members you expect to hire. Point out that you know the number of adult caregivers you need per child in your area.
5. Clarify how you will deal with adversity and the ups and down of economic times to the best of your ability.
