Health spa Treatment Ideas

There are as many spa treatment ideas as there are spas. Indulging yourself with a day at the spa can mean anything from getting a massage or facial to a day of body wraps and beauty treatments. Planning a spa day is often determined by time and budget. To make the most out of your spa treatment, consider what treatments will help you to relax and last more than the day you spend at the spa.

Pure Relaxation

Getting a full-body massage helps to relax muscles and is physically invigorating. Some treatments use herbal oils that moisturize the skin and give it a glow. There are a variety of massage styles available including deep tissue and sports massage. You an also do foot reflexology massages that target specific body organs to help alleviate fatigue, illness or depression. Hot stone treatments are another relaxing treatment to improve body function and relax muscles.

Beauty

If you are going in for a beauty treatment, check with your spa therapist about any side effects. Many beauty treatments such as facials and microderm techniques can leave your face red and blotchy for several days. So while you may want to indulge and pamper the day before a big event, refrain from getting abrasive techniques that require a few days to heal. Beauty treatments range from herbal facials to chemical peels and full body wraps of mud or other herbal concoctions.

Individual or Not

Sometimes it is nice to simply tune the world out and have someone pamper you. Spa time is time to take care of you without restraint in many cases. But for special occasions or creative bonding time, use spa time to gather friends or loved ones for a day of indulgence. This could be a couples massage for your anniversary. It might be a girl's weekend retreat or a Mother's Day gift. Thanking your bridal party for all the work in planning your special day can bring everyone together and help them relax just before the event.
