Instructions
1. Visit the available warehouse clubs near you. They are not all the same. Different warehouse clubs have contracts with different brand manufacturers, so while one club may have wonderful deals on your favorite brands of razors and shaving cream, the other club may not carry them at all. Other factors include the neatness and cleanliness of the clubs and traffic and accessibility concerns. Some clubs have a free one-day pass on their websites that you can print and bring with you. This pass allows you to purchase anything you want for one day only without paying the membership fee.
2. Research the cost to join the clubs. Prices vary among clubs, and there are different kinds of memberships, including business and personal. Some clubs charge more for business memberships than personal memberships; some charge less. If you open a business membership, you generally have to show proof of your company's governmental tax ID number.
3. Join your preferred club. Since you have to show your membership card to get access into a warehouse club, when you first visit, you should explain to the door personnel that you may wish to join. Proceed straight to the membership counter. You may have to show your driver's license to open an account. Most warehouse clubs offer free cards for spouses, so bring yours if you desire. Depending on the club, you may have to pay cash for your membership. Some clubs take checks and certain credit cards; call to find out before you go. Someone takes your picture, and then prints your membership card with your picture on it.
4. Start shopping. Warehouse clubs offer great deals on everything from furniture to food to clothing. Just remember to purchase only what you truly need and can use within a reasonable amount of time.
