Create A Small Equine Show Halter

Maybe you have taken your child to a fair and he was delighted with those little ponies. They are not ponies, however. They are miniature horses. Mini horses are a breed that is currently being standardized. Their lovely appearance and their tiny size make them perfect as a pet for the kids. As any horse, they thrive on grass and sunlight, and they are extremely playful.That's why restraining your horse is also an important thing to learn. Following these steps, you will learn make a halter for a mini horse.


Instructions


1. Melt the ends over a flame. Start tying overhand knots following this structure: Knot number 1 should be 7 inches starting from one end of the rope; this will be the pole tie. Knot number 2 should be 4 inches further; this will be the right side. Knot number 3 should be 10 inches further from the last one and this will be the left nose knot. Knot number 4 should be 6 1/2 inches further and this will be the throat latch knot. Knot number 5 should be 25 inches further, and will be the loop.


2. Tie the left nose knot first into the right nose knot to make a double rope over the nose.


3. Tie into the throat latch knot. And tie into the right ear knot.


4. Tie a knot at the chin.


5. Test all knots before putting halter on horse.
