Be A Virtual Personal bankruptcy Assistant

The virtual assistance business is booming, and with so many niches, there is something for everyone. This article focuses on becoming a virtual bankruptcy assistant.

Instructions

1. As a virtual bankruptcy assistant, you will want to have knowledge of bankruptcy matters. It is suggested that you take paralegal classes for certification or bankruptcy classes. See the Additional Resources link at the end of this article for a list of online training courses.

2. As a virtual assistant, you are working for yourself and the best way to stand out from the crowd is to become certified. You will want to register for an online certification VA course which costs anywhere between $1,000 to $3,000. There are 2 virtual schools listed in the Resources section below.

3. Once certified, you will want to set up your office. You will need an office phone, fax (or virtual fax) and a computer with fast Internet service (DSL or Broadband). In order to collaborate with your clients, you may want to consider some type of collaboration service such as Microsoft Office (free) or Live Conference Pro (live one-on-one collaboration).

4. Once your virtual office is set up, you will need clients. It is best to start off locally. Create a list of potential local customers and put together a binder with brochure, business card, resume and contact info.

5. Once your binder is together, send one out to each potential client. It's worth the little extra expense to send the binder in a box. Once you hear back from a client, consult with them about how you can be an asset to their company. Be sure to be friendly and courteous.
