Marketing Proposal Ideas

Make your presentation visual with the use of DVDs or photographic books

The presentation of a marketing proposal demands as much creativity as the proposal itself. Whether you are a marketing firm or a public relations company, your ideas are only as effective as your ability to implement them. When you present a cleverly-designed marketing proposal, you tell the client that you pay attention to every detail.

Visionary Digital Video Discs

Give your client a video presentation of your campaign that is full of energy and ideas. Show an arrow swiftly hitting a target, then show statistics on customers your campaign will reach. In quick succession, show success stories about previous clients, then move on to show how you would market this client. Throw a networking party for your top clients and film it. Add that footage to the video and provide on-screen captions for the people in attendance. This not only lets your potential client see her networking opportunities, but also gives her an idea of the quality of your current clients.

Book

Use a site like Lulu.com to publish your marketing proposal in a book, complete with biographies and photographs of your staff and your potential clients. Mock-up a Facebook.com page or the website you would create for them and have pictures in the book. Under your client's byline, write an overview on upcoming trends in his industry for the book and list the websites and magazines where the article might be published.

Newsletter

Create a newsletter that highlights achievements that you have created for your clients and that your clients have achieved on their own. Make a mock front page for potential clients with stories about the success of your work for them. Use this to not only market your ideas, but also to demonstrate the networking ability you can present to your clients. Add a media calendar to the newsletter that lists all upcoming deadlines for trade shows, industry publications and other relevant dates.
