Make Vintage Paper

A simple cup of coffee will help you achieve the antique look.

Vintage paper, or paper that looks old, can add a nice touch to a wide variety of projects. It lends an authentic antique-y look to the card or label that you made from it and can tie a theme together. If you are trying to achieve an old-fashioned look for a party or simply to decorate your room, try this trick on signs and posters to enhance the vintage effect.

Instructions

1. Draw or print your design on your paper. If you are writing a card, you can choose to write the message before or after you complete the rest of the steps.

2. Put a heaping spoonful of coffee grounds into your mug.

3. Pour just enough water on top to cover the coffee.

4. Mix until the coffee has dissolved.

5. Spoon a little bit of coffee onto your baking tray.

6. Press your paper into the pile of coffee. If you don't have enough to cover your entire paper, spoon a little bit more onto your tray.

7. Turn paper over and press the other side into the coffee. Make sure you cover every spot.

8. Remove paper from coffee and lay down on the table. Blow dry paper on high heat setting until fully dry.
