Use a Wallscape for Advertising
Wallscapes may seem like a new and trendy form of advertising, but in fact they represent an old and savvy way in which business owners have taken advantage of the adage "waste not want not" in advertising. From frontier shop owners to modern moguls, wall advertisements and murals have provided convenient, accessible and easily distributed advertising in a ready-made space--indoor and outdoor walls.
Instructions
1. Read advertising and marketing books and follow guidelines for billboards, banners and posters as wallscape advertising follows a similar methodology as advertising for these. Also, check out advertising seminars or hire an advertising specialist to advise you on the type of wallscape or mural that will work best for your business type.
2. Keep your wallscape or advertising mural simple. Some of the greatest advertising campaigns and related wallscapes and murals used simple wording, color schemes and/or images. For example, if you own a restaurant you could have a wallscape painted that features a copy of your menu, any specials that will not immediately change and your logo or mission statement.
3. Make your wallscape complex. Although this step may seem contradictory to the previous one, complex wallscapes can also make a fantastic advertising impact. For example, if you own a bike shop you could have a detailed mural painted on an outside wall that features bike trails and bike-related activities to draw a passerby's eyes to the imagery and invoke interest in the sport.
4. Select a removable wallscape. Removable wallscapes, typically vinyl banners attached to aluminum frames, offer business owners many benefits such as easy set up and tear down, repeat usage and weather resistance/durability.
