Use A Hoover Vacuum Belt

Installing a new belt on your Hoover vacuum will fix the agitator's working ability.

Over time, the vacuum belt can get worn due to debris coming through the agitator. When the belt on the vacuum breaks, you will need to install a new one to get the agitator working again. Installing a new belt on your Hoover vacuum is not a very hard task. You will not have to employ a service technician in order to do this job. You can do it yourself with a common tool found in your home.

Instructions

1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged from the wall outlet. Turn the Hoover vacuum over so that the underside of the unit is facing up.

2. Use your screwdriver to remove the screws holding the base plate on the unit. Pull the base plate off of the unit to reveal the agitator, belt and7 transmission pulley.

3. Pull the agitator from the housing and unwrap the belt from it. Unwrap the belt from the transmission pulley and then stretch the new belt over the agitator.

4. Replace the agitator in the housing and then spin it to make sure the belt is on properly.

5. Replace the base plate and the screws holding it in place. Turn the Hoover vacuum over and plug it back in. Turn the vacuum on to make sure the agitator is spinning properly.
