Look For A Liquidator

Before hiring a liquidator, find out what services and prices are offered.

Finding a reputable liquidator can be difficult, especially with all the online auction sites available. By using the Better Business Bureau's website, you can find a listing of liquidators near you, or you can research a liquidator before hiring one. If you're looking for a liquidator with national or international auctions, a simple Internet search should do the trick. With a little research and consumer caution, you can find the right liquidator for your home or business.

Instructions

1. Visit the BBB USA website bbb.org and click on the "Find a BBB Accredited Business" tab on the left side of the page.

2. Type the word "Liquidator" in the "Type of Business" box. Then type in your zip code, or city and state.

3. Check the box where it says "Limit my results to BBB Accredited Businesses." Then click the "Search" button.

4. Click on the link for either "Estate Liquidators" or "Liquidators," depending on which kind you're looking for. A list will appear of BBB-accredited liquidators within 500 kilometers of your location.

5. Visit your favorite search engine site, like Google, Yahoo or Bing, and type in the specific kind of liquidator you want. For example, you can find a grocery liquidator, a retail liquidator or a jewelry liquidator. Click on the "Search" button, and a list of liquidators will appear.
