New Franchise Ideas

A new idea for a franchise should be something that appeals to a large proportion of the population. Families fit that bill perfectly. Family outing destinations are sought after all year long. Women in the career world is another large and growing population. Another large group of people drive and usually purchase a new vehicle every few years. If you can find something new which falls into the categories of fun family time or necessities, and start a business from that concept, it has a good chance at success.

Geo Cache

Geo Cache is great family fun. It involves being outdoors, getting exercise and learning new things. Best of all, other than the purchase of a GPS (global positioning system), it is free. Geo Cache is like a treasure hunt, but you have a modern-day global positioning system that allows you to put in coordinates to lead you to the treasure, which has been hidden either by the Geo Cache home company or by other players. A combination of sales of GPS hand-held equipment and a training center for Geo Cache would work well in a franchise. This center could sell the GPS equipment and hold training classes. It could plan weekend Geo Cache hunts for an entry fee, with a big prize on offer.

Another service this business could offer is event planning for organizations, parties and class trips. This would appeal to all ages. Examples: A party for adults with the Geo Cache scavenger hunt. A class trip with Geo Cache around a state park. This business idea is educational, as it strengthens math skills, comprehension and skill building. The outdoor exercise is a bonus. The center would be responsible for sales, rental and service of the hand-held GPS devices.

New Clothes Every Week

A women's clothes rental shop will appeal to women who don't like to shop. Here they could rent new business clothes; each week you can go in and pick out your five professional outfits for the following work week. The membership fee would act as a retainer for clothes not returned or ruined. It would cover the wear and tear on clothes and the purchasing of newer styles when needed. Instead of spending thousands on clothes, most that you only wear a few times, you have a department store for rental clothes. You would need to have a laundry and press operation on the premises. This type of store would prosper in the bigger cities, especially in neighborhoods where women may commonly spend $200 on a blouse. It would take the worry out of clothes buying and it would certainly be a green enterprise. The weekly fee should be computed to cost about one quarter of what the population of women you are servicing would spend in a year on new clothes, then divided by the 52 weeks in a year. This would be the cost to your customer.

A New Car Every Month

Instead of buying a new car every three years, you can have a new one to drive every month. Consider a franchise car company that charges members a down payment, then for a monthly fee they get to drive a new car every month. You can offer three levels of vehicle types: economy for the budget minded, mid-size for the family and luxury for the elite. Start by buying the cars in large quantities straight from the car manufacturers. The car payments would be covered by the customers' payments, which should be at least double to four times the amount of what you are paying for the cars and insurance combined. The customer must sign up for a year of this service as a type of lease. The plus to the customer is a new car every month, no insurance bill and no service charges.
