Create A Book Through Tate Posting

Publish a Book Through Tate Publishing

If you have written a book, you may be considering Tate Publishing as the company to publish it. Tate bills itself as a Christian company that provides publishing and related services to writers. It has various contracts, some of which require up-front money from the writer. It is not difficult to submit a book to Tate Publishing, and if they offer a contract you can decide whether it meets your needs to actually work with them to publish the book.

Instructions

1. Research Tate Publishing through independent resources such as the Absolute Write writers' forums to make sure it is the right publisher choice for you. Independent forums offer unbiased information that will help you weigh Tate against other publishers.

2. Submit your manuscript using the form on Tate Publishing's website. You will be required to enter your name, city and phone number. When you submit this demographic information, you will be taken to a form that allows you to upload a file. Tate accepts sample chapters or full manuscripts.

3. If Tate Publishing offers you a contract, evaluate it carefully before signing it. They may ask you to pay a sum of money as an "author investment" to publish your book. If you are not comfortable doing this, withdraw your manuscript and submit it to other publishers who do not require any form of payment and who are willing to pay you an advance. If possible, have a lawyer who is familiar with the publishing industry go over the contract too.

4. If you so choose, sign the contract and return it to Tate Publishing. This will establish your business relationship for publishing your book.

5. Deliver the complete manuscript to Tate Publishing if you have not done so already. Your book will go into production, and you will work with an editor and cover designer to finalize it for printing and distribution. You will be given the option to produce it as an audiobook and/or an e-book if you choose. You will also work with a marketing representative both before and after your book's publication.
