If you are looking to work overseas and are truly ready to take the trip abroad, you need a great resume. If you do not have any experience in working overseas, then you will possibly have to take on an internship. Instructions
1. Write all of your education experience down on your rough draft. Write down your high school and college background, if you have made it that far. Overseas internships are usually easy to find if you've specialized in a specific area.
2. Jot down all of your job skills. Note whether you have computer skills, teaching skills or any other important skill that you have learned. You can even add writing, editing skills and language skills to this draft.
3. Write down everything you have achieved on a piece of paper. Note anything that you have won, gotten a trophy for or a certificate for. Achievements can be graduating high school or being a top player on your soccer team.
4. Think of all of your objectives. Decide what do you want from this international internship and what would you like to achieve by doing the internship. Sometimes it's easiest to write this statement after you written down everything else.
5. Create a word document on your computer. You can find a template for resumes or create your own. Start with objective, then experience, education and then skills and achievements at the end.
6. Make a cover letter that expresses how much you would like the opportunity to do an internship with that particular company. Customize this letter to each employer and the position.
7. Ask a friend to proofread your resume. Correct any mistakes. Then print out copies and keep them with you so you can fax overseas to selected employers. You can also usually email or mail some employers when you apply for the intern position.
