Import and Export are functions that are found in many Windows applications. Import is a way of bringing in a file, such as a presentation into an application. Exporting is the reverse process. Import is extremely similar to the open function while exporting is extremely similar to the save or save as functions. Importing and exporting presentations sometimes strip the files of some formatting, allowing it to be handled more easily by some applications than if you were to just open or save it.
