Buy Ad Space Online Or Blog

Advertise Here

Interested in buying advertising space for your website or blog but feel overwhelmed by all the available advertising opportunities? I have got it all figured out and will explain in this article get the best advertising deals on the best websites.

Instructions

1. Online advertising is big business and can be very expensive but if you know where to look, what questions to ask, and what rates to pay, then you can find some really good deals. Just follow these simple but proven steps when buying advertising space online.

2. There is probably not a webpage on the internet that doesn't offer some kind of advertising so first thing we want to do is narrow our search. Make sure you search for websites that are similar to your website. Try doing a Google search for your website and review some of the other sites that show up in the search results. The reason is their visitors are more than likely to click on a link to a similar product than some off the wall product. If you sell/blog about vintage clothing, then look for similar sites that are related to vintage clothing.

3. Also, find out about their Google Page Rank; the higher the PR the better the inbound link is for the search engines in ranking your own website PR. See the resources section of this article for a link to a free PR checker tool. A high PR is a good indicator of traffic and in bound links. Be weary of PR 0 telling you they get thousands of daily unique visitors, that's hogwash.

4. Once you have narrowed your search you should contact the webmaster first and tell them that you are interested in advertising your website/blog with them. If they have a link with advertising rates then review the rates first before contacting them. Do not blindly pay but contact them first. Tell them that you have narrowed your search and that you would like to advertise with them, send them a link to your website and sample banner so they can see your banner and website first. They may be encouraged and offer you some kind of special.

5. Another thing to ask them about is whether or not they have traffic statistics or a traffic report for tracking your ad. You will want to know how many impressions and clicks your banner ad receives. Impressions are the number of times your banner is displayed on a webpage where as clicks are the number of times someone actually clicked on your banner.

6. On a final note, you should always ask for an additional free month or an additional amount of free impressions. They can only say no, but my experience reveals that many times they will offer up discounts or an extended advertising period.
