Most government grants for women are awarded to those women who run non-profit agencies or represent those groups that serve the community. U.S. government grants for women-owned small businesses do not exist, despite the claims of many grant advertisements. Women may be eligible for funding to help with technology purchases, housing, job training, and tuition, but these are referred to as assistance and loans by the U.S. government.
