Roll paper
fax machines use rolls of paper to print on instead of sheets of paper. Using a roll paper fax machine is similar to using any other fax machine. Although all fax machines vary slightly in their use, the basic uses of all roll paper machines are the same.
Instructions
1. Turn the fax machine off and open the panel that allows access to the roll of paper. This panel is usually in the back of the machine. Some models have the access panel at the top. If you can't locate this panel, consult the owner's manual.
2. Pull the tape off the side of the paper roll so that the paper is able to feed into the fax. Remove the old paper roll from the machine and slide the new roll onto the spindle.
3. Feed the end of the paper into the fax machine's paper feed. This is a small slot wide enough fit the paper. Close the panel and turn the fax machine on. Most faxes needs to warm up before use.
4. Check the ink or thermal transfer paper compartment and see if new ink or paper is needed. The fax machine normally tells you when it's running low on ink or thermal paper.
5. Place the fax in the tray on the front of the machine. Look at the picture on the paper tray to find out if the fax feeds face-up or down.
6. Type in the fax number of the person receiving the fax into the machine and press "Start." The fax feeds into the machine and out the other side.
7. Check the fax machine's display or read the fax confirmation sheet to confirm the fax is sent correctly.
