The Casio FX-115MS is a scientific, hand-held calculator. In addition to being able to solve simple math problems, the calculator can solve statistical, complex, linear regression, deviation, computer science and polar-rectangular conversions and equations, using various calculator modes. In order to solve your equation, you must enter your equation once the calculator is in the correct mode. If it's not in the correct mode, you will be unable to enter your equation.
Instructions
1. Press the "On" button to power on the calculator.
2. Set the calculator mode to the correct one for the equation you are inputting into the calculator. Press the "Mode" button and the "1" button to enter "COMP" mode, which is used for basic arithmetic calculations. Push "Mode" and "2" to "CMPLX" mode, used for complex number calculations. Press "Mode," "Mode" "1" to enter "SD" mode, used for standard deviation. Push "Mode," "Mode" "2" to enter "REG" mode, used for regression calculations. Press "Mode," "Mode" "3" to enter "BASE" mode, used for base-n calculations. Push "Mode," "Mode," "Mode" "1" to enter "EQN" mode, used to solve equation solutions.
3. Enter your equation, from left to right, into the calculator. Check to ensure you input the equation correctly by looking at the display screen. If the equation is incorrect, press the backward arrow to delete the last number entered.
4. Press the "Equal" or "=" key to display the answer. For the equation 84 + 17, once we press the equal key, the answer of 101 will be displayed on the display screen.
