Create Url Monitoring Inside A E-newsletter

Tracking your newsletter URLs will give you the critical data you need to drive your Internet business forward. It'll tell you what kinds of emails are getting click-throughs, what kind of emails are getting conversions and what kind of emails aren't working at all. You'll be able to track specific links within the emails, so you'll know how far people are reading before they click.

Instructions

1. Sign up for a URL tracking service. Your shopping cart will usually have its own URL tracker in the system. Sometimes it'll be called the affiliate tracking system, and you'll have to sign up as an affiliate in your own system to track URLs. Some auto-responder systems also have their own URL tracking service. Three free URL trackers are included in the Resources.

2. Plug your links into the URL tracker. It'll generate a different link with the tracker's domain in the link. Anytime someone clicks on that link, it'll count as one visit. The tracker will then forward the visitor to your original website. The whole tracking process takes just a split second from the user's perspective.

3. Place a pixel tracker on your "Thank You" page if you want to also track conversions. The invisible pixel will "fire" anytime someone lands on your "Thank You" page, then tell the tracking system which tracking URL the visitor came from. This way, you can track exactly which conversions resulted from what tracking link.

4. Insert your tracking link into your email. Anytime someone clicks on the link, they'll go through the whole tracking process.
