Rewind A Tape Inside A Dictation And Transcription Machine

Businessman using a dictation machine.

Executives, students and business people commonly use portable dictation machines to capture their thoughts, meeting notes, class lectures, correspondence or instructions for later transcription or referral. Dictation machines come in digital and analog formats. The analog machines use removable micro-cassette tapes which can be replayed and transcribed into legible notes. While in the machine, the tapes can be forwarded or rewound to various points in the recording for review or clarification. A tape that malfunctions in the machine can be removed and rewound manually.
