Turn Your Posts Into An E-book

Creating an ebook is an easy way to communicate your ideas to others in a readable format. It is presented in the same fashion as a traditional book, but in an electronic format. If you have a website or blog, adding an ebook to it can increase your traffic flow tremendously. Most of us never create an ebook because we think it involves a long and complicated process. With a few tips, you'll be able to easily learn turn your articles into an ebook.

Instructions

1. Open a blank word processing program to place your information in. If you do not currently have one, you can download a free version through Open Office (see Resources below). After locating the information you want to start with, begin copying and pasting it into the blank document. Remember to make sure that your articles are in their proper order. It has to be placed in a sensible format that the intended readers will understand.

2. Create concepts that flow easily by removing repetitive information. Considering that your articles were originally created in an individual way, you will now have to make sure that they are properly connected like a book. When the reader goes through each page they will be transitioned to the next article smoothly. Connecting each article with the next will allow you to create a successful ebook.

3. Choose the best font for your ebook. It needs to be large enough to be read, but not extremely big. Usually, fonts are done in the Times Roman font at a size of 12 points. This will allow your ebook to be read easier. Depending on your target group, most readers do not want to read an ebook with small font. Another way to make your ebook easier to read is to leave at least one inch of margin space to the right and left of the page.

4. Place illustrations or photos throughout your intended ebook. It's best to avoid the clipart that comes automatically with your computer. If you are using photos from the Internet, then make sure that you have permission to do so. The last thing you need is to get in trouble with copyrighted materials. Choose photos that are professional looking and filled with details. This will help enhance your ebook instead of taking away from it.

5. Create a cover for your ebook like the cover of a real book. It has to be eye catching, but extremely professional at the same time. This will be the first thing that your readers will see, so you'll want to make a good first impression. If the cover looks plain and “thrown together,” then most visitors will not go past that point.

6. Convert your ebook into PDF format because this is the easiest way for readers to access it. Almost every computer system has Adobe Reader on it. If you have any links throughout the ebook, make sure that they are clickable. Having dead links scattered throughout your ebook will not place it in a positive light to anyone that views it. Take the time to make sure that the ebook is formatted correctly and in an easy to read format.
