Become an Advertising Account Executive
Advertising account executives are the link between clients who want a successful ad and a team of advertising professionals who create the ad. The team that creates the ad comprised of graphic designers, copywriters, art directors and media researchers. Account executives coordinate the activities of this team, while making sure the client is happy with the work and its progress.
Instructions
1. Take courses that relate to this position before graduating high school. Suggestions include math, creative arts, business, social studies, career development, management, computers and technology.
2. Participate in co-op placements if they are offered in your high school in order to gain experience.
3. Earn a bachelor's degree in either business, marketing or advertising. There is no mandatory educational requirement to become an advertising account executive, but it is hard to break into the field without experience or a degree.
