Produce A Sponsorship Package Having A Template

Sponsorship packages increase business reviews and marketing agility by community support.

Sponsorship packages can increase the revenue available from small business investors, corporations and people who are supportive of your organization's mission. Before asking for sponsors support, you must develop a sponsorship package to mail with response inserts to generate leads. Your sponsorship package should include a one-sheet explanation of the program and offers for sponsors to build interest in your organization. If you do not have a sponsorship program outline, write one while using a template as it explains sections needed for a successful marketing campaign.

Instructions

1. Conduct market research by identifying prospective sponsors online, in your community and marketing lists available online. Search for Web directories offering sponsor names, addresses, supported causes and other invaluable information necessary to compile your list. List the companies' names in database software and add notes from what you find on the companies' websites as usual information for your introductory letters.

2. Open word processing application and location a sponsorship package template suited for your company's industry. Save the template as a draft, then complete each section identifying your company's team members, marketing opportunities, package offers, program history and the program's complete offer for supports. Mention details of demographics, photos, advertisements, news reports and other clippings to build confidence for prospective sponsors.

3. Save the template and details in a file. Check spelling, grammar, punctuation and the tone of the copy. Eliminate wordiness by writing short sentences, using bulleted lists for readability and including notes or data relevant to sponsor records. Print the first draft of the sponsorship copy on the template, then submit for approval from the community outreach board to comment and make suggestions for improvements.

4. Use the suggestions in the printed outlines from the community outreach board, then add it to the sponsorship template. Monitor white space, layout and color choices. Work with a knowledgeable friend in creating a page layout for each part of the sponsorship package. Use publishing software, such as Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign or InkScape to improve the visual impact of the sponsorship package.

5. Complete a thorough review of the sponsorship package, then print from your computer or send to a professional printing company. Write personalized introductory letters for each prospective sponsor, then send the packages off.
